A volunteer auxiliary that actively supports CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties and its mission of serving abused and neglected children.
For individuals who are not at points in their lives where becoming a child advocate is feasible, other volunteer opportunities exist through Friends of CASA. A volunteer auxiliary, Friends of CASA allows you to support the organization's work while also choosing when and how often you want to volunteer.
Opportunities for service include:
- Child-Centered Activities
- Community Awareness & Fundraising
- Office & Special Event Support
Friends of CASA members should be passionate about the mission of CASA and believe in advocating for children. Membership is free. To enroll, individuals should complete the membership brochure application and agree to a background check. Membership includes the CASA Clips monthly e-newsletter as well as notice of Friends of CASA volunteer opportunities.
Members also receive invitations to CASA special events and, most importantly, the opportunity to help children in need of safe and permanent homes.
