On Friday, September 24th, CASA honored 25 years of service to abused and neglected children and celebrated with friends and donors at the annual fundraiser, the Hops & Barley Ball. CASA welcomed 300 guests to Boulevard Brewing Company for the auction event. The Hops & Barley Ball also brought together numerous corporate partners who helped to underwrite the evening, including Performance Contracting Group as Presenting Sponsor.
Guests enjoyed a casual night of Boulevard's finest draft beer and pub-like dining stations, while overlooking downtown's skyline from the patio of the Muehlebach Suite. Entertainment was provided by the Jeff Jenkins Duo, acoustical guitar musicians whose playlist for the evening ranged from John Mayer to The Eagles and Steve Miller. The evening also included a silent auction and many drawing opportunities. Guests could also contribute through a giving tree, which served as a great reminder for the importance of the evening. Brief remarks were also offered by CASA Board President Maggie Bessenbacher as well as emcee Kathleen Leighton.
"CASA is so proud to have served thousands of abused children in need over the past 25 years. It is a big accomplishment and one that couldn't have been achieved without our volunteer advocates, donors and community friends," says Alyssa Perbeck, CASA's Development Director. "We are looking forward to the next 25 years and hope that our supporters will help us surpass fundraising goals and keep our program strong."
CASA would like to again thank presenting sponsor PCG, as well as lead sponsors Lentz Clark Deines, Lockton Companies and QC Holdings Companies. We also thank the many other corporate partners and friends for success of the evening. In total, the event brought CASA $82,000 to support advocate programs for children.
